Kozhikode: The ongoing probe in the sensational Koodathayi serial killings revealed that prime accused Jolly Joseph used pesticide to kill Roy’s mother. Roy Thomas was the latter’s first husband.

Thomas’s parents and three other kin were also allegedly killed at different times between 2002 and 2016 as police suspect. Jolly has also reportedly made admission in this regard during grilling, police sources say.

“I cannot say what I would be doing when demons take over me at times,” Jolly kept on saying in the police jeep while being taken to the court at Thamarassery from the Kozhikode district jail on Thursday.

She seemed cold-hearted and unperturbed despite her hand in a series of murders of her own close ones which were carried out mostly in the Ponammattom House at Koodathayi village in Kerala’s Kozhikode district.

Jolly has reportedly told police she gave cyanide to kill four of her six victims and pesticide was used to murder her mother-in-law Annamma, the first of her victims.

Annamma had died on August 22, 2002.
