Actress Asha Sharath tries to fool people, says husband went missing; plaint filed with Idukki police

Idukki: Sreejith Perumana, a lawyer, reportedly has lodged a complaint against actress Asha Sharath to Idukki district police chief for allegedly producing a fake video by using official details of police without seeking permission.

The lawyer claimed that the actress has committed a serious offence under IPC 107, IPC 117, IPC 182, IT Act, CRPC sections and Kerala Police Act.

On Wednesday, Asha took to her official facebook page on a live video and sought help to trace her husband.

In the video, she asked everyone to inform Kattappana police if they get any information about her husband.

This video has gone vial on social media and put the Kattappana police in trouble.

Many people phoned to Kattappana police station to clarify the matter. But later it was revealed that the actress posted the video as part of the promotion of her latest movie ‘Evide’ directed by KK Rajeev.

“Addressing the Lok Sabha, Union minister for information and broadcasting has sought immediate intervention to check fake news in social media. It is pathetic that the actress posted the video on the same day when the minister made the statement,” noted the complainant.
