4 policemen on election duty in Punjab recalled amid postal ballot row

Thiruvananthapuram: Based on the direction of Battalion DIG, four policemen who had gone to Punjab for election duty were asked to return due to the postal ballot issue.

The four policemen, including Manikuttan who was in the centre of the intelligence probe, were told to come back to the state immediately.

As part of the initial action taken regarding the postal ballot row, all the cops who are facing crime branch probe were removed from election duty.

If proved guilty, they would have to face stern action.

The policemen are expected to reach Kerala by Friday evening.
