Kochi: The Kerala high court on Thursday criticized the accused in the actress attack case for delaying proceedings.

Martin who is one of the accused in the controversial case had demanded in a plea to withdraw the order which demanded hastening the hearing process in the case.

The high court wanted to know why the accused were delaying the case. It also pointed out that the ‘cat in the bag has been let out.’

The HC had ordered that the hearing of the case by the CBI special court must be completed within 6 months.

During the hearing, the state government also opposed the demand of accused in the court.

The High Court had appointed a woman judge to hear the actress attack case in which actor Dileep, Pulsar Suni are the prime accused.

In the meanwhile, the actress had demanded the case to be transferred to outside the district. As there were no women judges in the status of district judge in nearby districts, the HC considered Honey Varghese of CBI special court.
