Thiruvananthapuram: Governor Justice P Sathasivam has sought an urgent report from the Chief Minister regarding the status of the police investigation into the murder of two youth Congress workers near Periya in Kasaragod on Sunday night.
The Leader of Opposition, Ramesh Chennithala, had met the Governor on Tuesday to brief him about the issue.
Chennithala informed the governor that the families of the victims were under utmost grief due to their personal loss and due to the delay in arresting culprits.
He also alleged that since the post of ADGP North was lying vacant for the last eight months, the monitoring of law and order in the district has been affected.
It was in this context that the Governor sought an urgent report on the issue from the Chief Minister.
