Court rejects Surendran’s petition seeking permission to enter Sabarimala

Pathanamthitta: The petition submitted by BJP state general secretary K Surendran seeking permission to enter Sabarimala was rejected by the Ranni magistrate court. The Court rejected the petition as Surendran’s bail condition mandates that he should not enter Pathanamthitta district.

Earlier, the BJP leader had approached the High Court with seeking permission to enter Sabarimala. However, the HC had directed him to approach the magistrate court.

Following this, Surendran approached the Ranni court. Now, Surendran is expected to approach the HC again challenging the magistrate court order.

Surendran is an accused in several cases including attacking a woman during the Chithira Atta Vishesham. The bail conditions regarding these cases have prevented Surendran from entering Pathanamthitta district.
