Thiruvananthapuram: The employees of KSRTC have declared that they will observe indefinite strike from Wednesday midnight demanding salary revision and reinstatement of terminated staff
The trade union leaders announced the strike as the consensus talks held on Wednesday with KSRTC MD Tomin J Thachankary failed.
Meanwhile, the Kerala High Court raised a sharp criticism against the employees over the declaration of the strike.
“The employees should remember KSRTC is a public transport system. There is no justification for the strike. As all the employees have the right to hold strike, they are obliged to control themselves from it,” observed the court.
The court also asked KSRTC authority to report on the details of the conciliation talks with the staff.
