Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state general secretary K Surendran was taken to Kannur jail from Kozhikode sub-jail and will be produced before the magistrate at 11 am today.

Meanwhile Surendran alleged that fake case was registered against him.

“Upon learning that I will get bail on the Sannidhanam case, police booked another case accusing me of attacking the Chittar station and injuring a police officer,” Surendran said.

The Kannur police had registered a case against Surendran for threatening a police officer during a protest march to the SP’s office there.

As a warrant was issued, Surendran was taken to Kannur from Kottarakkara Sub Jail. He stayed at Kozhikode jail on Sunday.
