Kannanthanam at Beijing in a bid to attract Chinese tourists, talks about beef ban, mob lynching

Beijing: Union Minister of State for Tourism Alphons Kannanthanam who is on a visit to Beijing as part of attracting the Chinese tourists to India opined that mob lynching cases will disgrace the image of India.

While addressing the media in Beijing, Kannanthanam said that however, these issues have not affected the arrival of tourists to India yet.

The Uninon Minister also said that ‘the ban on beef has not had any impact on tourism. Those who eat beef can visit Kerala, Goa and northeast states. They all are popular tourist spots. Tourists have to respect the beliefs of people in other states,’ he added.

Kannanthanam informed that an office of the tourism department will be started in Beijing in order to attract tourists.
