Parda produced by the Khadi board to be named ‘Janaba’

Thiruvananthapuram: Parda produced by the Khadi board will be named ‘Janaba’ as directed by K T Jaleel. It has also been decided to produce ‘Janab’ shirts in the model of ‘Sakhav’ shirts aiming the people of Malabar.

‘Janab’ is an Urdu word which means ‘respectful’ and ‘Janaba’ is its female version, said Sohana George who is the vice chairperson of the Kerala Khadi and Village Industries Board while inaugurating the district level Onam-Bakrid fair of Khadi board.
