3 Malayalis get life-term for brutally killing Filipino woman in Kuwait

Kuwait City: The Supreme Court in Kuwait has sentenced three Keralites to life imprisonment for the brutal murder of a Philippinewoman. Ajith Agustine, Thufail, and Tijo Thomas -all hailing from Kozhikode- were punished by the apex Court here for strangulating the woman to death

The court mentioned that the convicted who were earlier acquitted by a lower court citing lack of sufficient evidence do not deserve even a bail.

According to the prosecution, the three had strangulated the woman to death and set her on fire in the apartment in which she lived to destroy evidence.

Ajith Augustine, the first culprit, according to the reports, had borrowed lump sum amount of money from the Philippine woman who had the business of money loan. When Ajith could not pay back the money on the date the woman had warned, he planned to kill her and burn the flat to destroy evidences. He called two of his friends to help him to do the monstrous crime.

The heinous crime took place at Farwaniya in February 2014.
