For all Malayalees across the globe there is some thing more to be proud of rather than having a smartphone brand of its own. The mphone which got an invitation in the the biggest mobile industry trade show in the world- ‘Mobile World Congress’ (MWC) literally kept every ones eyebrows up when it along with another one company was chosen from India to attend the event taking place in Spain’s Barcelona.
The 2018 MWC officially kicked off in Barcelona on Monday, and a wave of new smartphones have already been released. With 5G technology taking an increasing share of the spotlight, as top executives stress the importance of the next generation of mobile networks, smartphones are still very much center stage.
After smartphones saw a global decline in sales in the fourth quarter of 2017, the pressure was on for phone makers to captivate audiences at this year’s MWC. But here’s where mphone stood apart. It was in 2016 when mphone started its journey in mobile handset manufacturing and just after two years mphone successfully found a space for itself in the MWC.
MUOS, the operating system that was developed by the mphone’s research team was approved by the MWC last year. It was after this the company was invited to Barcelona to part take in the Mobile World Congress.
The conferences were headed by prominent telecom, mobile company’s top officials.
When the world steps into 5g phone manufacturing phase, mphone too came up with new ideas and breathtaking technologies, and this fetched the company the tickets to the MWC. mphone which has launched about nine models in India, Gulf countries and Sri Lanka is all set to launch its new models in April.
“mphone perceives the new technological advancement in the sector of mobile handset manufacturing with huge expectations and anticipation. And surely these innovations would be replicated in the future models for our valuable customers,” says mphone chairman Roji Augustine who leads the team in Barcelona.
The company’s newest model the ‘mphone 7s’ was one of the main attraction in the mobile congress’s exhibition counter.
This year, the Mobile World Congress runs from February 26 to March 1.
