Kerala’s Renu Raj bags 2nd rank in civil service exam

renu-rajan-newNew Delhi: Renu Raj, a Changanassery resident has grabbed the second rank in the prestigious civil services examination, the results of which were declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Saturday.

While Renu bagged the second rank, the eighth rank was also clinched by a Keralite, K Nitish.

Ira Singhal topped the list with the first four ranks secured by women. The third rank was bagged by Nidhi Gupta while the fourth and fifth rank went to Vandana Rao and Suharsha Bhagat.Rank

A total number of 1,236 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’, the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) said.

This is the first time that the Commission is declaring the final results within four days of the closing date for the personality tests or interviews.
