Kozhikode: According to a preliminary investigating report by the ADGP, the staffs of both the CISF and Airport Authority are equally responsible for the violence at Karipur International Airport, which claimed the life of a CISF soldier. The report states that there was a clash between CISF personnel and Fire force officers of AAI. Nobody from outside had entered the airport.
The report was prepared by the North Zone ADGP N Shanker Reddy, which said there was no security lapse. There weren’t any intruder from outside. The clash between the staff at the airport cannot be viewed as security lapse, said the report.
‘It was only after this, verbal fights and gun shots took place. Damages to the tune of Rs 2 crore were reported in the rampage where airport properties too were damaged, the report said. DGP TP Senkumar was handed over the probe report.
