Kozhikode: In connection with the firing at Karipur International airport in which one CSJ soldier was killed on Wednesday night, the Kerala Police has taken 10 people, including officers, into custody.
Police on Thursday registered a case into the firing incident. Cases would be also filed against those who have been admitted to the hospital following the clash.
A dispute between CISF personnel and fire force department employees of Airport Authority of India (AAI) led to the death of a soldier- S S Yadav and the operations at the airport were suspended.
Police have collected the crucial CCTV images for verification.
It is clear from the images that the bullet was fired from the gun of CISF soldier Sitaram Chawdhury, sources said. Forensic team would visit the airport to collect more evidence.
The jawan’s body would be send for post-mortem later on Thursday.
