Thiruvananthapuram: BJP President Amit Shah has arrived in Thiruvananthapuram as part of preparations for Kerala’s civic polls and assembly elections. He will have a brainstorming session with his party workers and sympathisers here Tuesday.
Shah will address BJP workers who will be laying a siege to the state secretariat here as part of the party’s agitation against the Congress-led UDF government in protest against alleged corruption in governance and ‘adjustment agitation’ by CPI-M-led opposition, party sources said.
BJP alleges LDF was not serious in their agitations against the Chandy government.
Shah will address a meeting of booth-level voters here and also RSS and sangh parivar workers, BJP sources said.
While civic elections are to be held later this year, assembly elections are due next year.
In the mean while the BJP workers have stared their agitation in front of the secretariat against the UDF governance.
