Thiruvananthapuram: Police submits account against KIMS management and officials in the mysterious death of Roji Roy to the nursing council. Roji Roy, a 19-year-old nursing student of KIMS College of nursing had committed suicide by jumping off the 10th floor of the hospital on November 6.
The report criticizes the act of head of the institution Prof Susan Jose of not having handled the case in an appropriate manner. The 6 pages report, pointing out 25 points clearly indicates that the head of the institution neither followed the guidelines of the Supreme Court nor complied directives of the Kerala high court.
Roji’s case is been probed under the leadership of Crime detachment assistant commissioner K E Baiju. While talking to Evartha he said “there had been failure in handling the case in an appropriate way from the head of the institution and we are waiting for another report’s arrival, the foreignsic report.”
The ACP also informed that the foreignsic report is likely to come in a two months time. The report is speculated to have a major turning point in the case.
Roji’s puzzling death was taken over by the social media which spurted numerous protests across the state and country.
