The advisory, which reiterated the upgraded security detail for Modi including holding of advance security liaison meetings for seamless coordination between central and state agencies, followed sustained intelligence inputs that Indian Mujahideen was plotting to target the Gujarat chief minister. These inputs were based on the questioning of several arrested IM operatives, including Yasin Bhatkal and Asadullah Akhtar alias Haddi, as well as electronic surveillance mounted on their aides Tehseen Akhtar alias Monu and Waqas.
