Devyani finds more trouble as her daughter s possess dual passports

devyani-2_650_011514090551India’s deputy consul general Devyani Khobragade, may find herself in more trouble with both her daughters holding US and Indian passports, something the Indian law doesn’t allow.
The external affairs ministry sources said they didn’t know about Khobragade’s daughters holding US passports. Though the diplomat could be asked to explain why she didn’t reveal the facts, there was no official action as of yet. Her husband is a US citizen.
Sources familiar with the developments said Rathore had gone to the US with the kids before Khobragade was posted as India’s deputy consul general in New York.
Devyani’s father Uttam Khobragade defended his granddaughters holding US passports. “When we were taking the kids to the US, we were told as they were natural US citizens they should get US passports.”
