ISLAMABAD: According to Geo News, it was reported that, the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a crucial meeting with Taliban and government nominated committees for peace talks at PM House here on Thursday.
Speaking to media after the meeting, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) team leader Maulana Samiul Haq said, in the meeting, they discussed with PM Nawaz future strategy to carry forward the peace talks.
He said members from both the committee would go to Waziristan for discussion with Taliban shura, adding strategy in this regard would be made in a day or two.
Samiul Haq further said the process was moving forward effectively. Time has come to make decisions, he said and added that they were optimistic the issue would be resolved.
Nawaz Sharif has given assurance that he would make efforts that situation for military operation could not emerge. He said the premier has vowed to move forward through dialogues.
He said the issues have reached a level where, without inclusion of authoritative circles these could not move forward.
Maulana Samiul Haq said both the sides should enhance mutual cooperation to unearth the elements that were bent upon sabotaging the dialogue process through violence.
